Vodafone NZ to charge for some contact centre calls
Vodafone New Zealand is set to charge its pre-pay customers NZ$1 each time they seek help from its contact centre staff.
The new charge will come into effect from August 1 for pre-pay customers calling the Vodafone help desk number for agent-assisted service. The move is reported to encourage customers to make better use of self service options.
“We do offer a range of free ways to manage your mobile via TXT, 777 and My Vodafone (online site),” Vodafone said in a message to customers.
