Teleperformance Acquires The Answer Group

Outsource contact center service provider Teleperformance has acquired The Answer Group in an all-cash deal. Specific terms of the purchase were not disclosed.

The Answer Group provides technical support services to telecommunications, Internet, cable television, specialized retail and equipment manufacturers within the U.S. market. The company, which employs moer than 3,000 technicians, is expected to generate $140 million in revenue during 2008.

Teleperformance, which operates nearly 80,000 workstations in 248 contact centers globally, is based in Paris and Miami Beach, FL. The Answer Group had been based in Florida and Louisiana.
