Call Center Industry Growth

As a call center consultant I always enjoy reading the Site Selection Group’s monthly reports on call center openings and contractions. It provides a great point of view and interesting benchmark on the health of the industry. In the November report new growth or expansions numbered most in the US, followed by LatAm, Canada, and India and the Philippines. The Outsource/BPO sector seems to be doing well representing 74% of all new growth and expansions and over 10,000 new call center jobs. In Canada new sites included Nordia with 300 jobs in Nanaimo, BC, Stream with 200 jobs in Belleville ON and Telus with 200 jobs in Edmonton AB.
